Project Thrive Children’s Fund

At the Legal Aid Bureau, we’re excited to announce the launch of our 2023 Annual Campaign: Project Thrive Initiative. This initiative is dedicated to enriching the lives of children under our care in child welfare, juvenile justice, and education practices. Your generous donations will fuel the Project Thrive Children’s Fund, directly impacting children’s lives by providing essential resources and opening doors to new opportunities.

Why Project Thrive?

Every day, children we serve face unique challenges:

  • Many live in out-of-home care, constantly moving and surrounded by uncertainty.
  • Some are in group homes or residential facilities, isolated from their loved ones and community.
  • Others struggle in low-income households, missing out on fundamental childhood experiences like sports, arts, and camps.
  • Older youths in supported living settings grapple with education and work, often fearing the transition out of foster care into homelessness.

Our clients, predominantly children of color, many with medical needs or disabilities, deserve more. They deserve to thrive.

Your Impact Through Project Thrive

Imagine the difference your support can make:

  • Providing emergency essentials like clothing and a comforting blanket for a child in a new foster home.
  • Enabling talented children like Mariah to pursue their dreams, such as participating in a chorus trip to New York City.
  • Fulfilling simple yet significant wishes like providing contact lenses for a child in need.
