Attorneys for Children Unit

The Attorneys for Children is privileged to represent children in neglect, abuse, custody, adoption, juvenile delinquency, PINS, and other proceedings in Erie County Family Court, as well as special education, school discipline and other matters in the education arena. Every day, our lawyers stand side-by-side with children in our community, giving them a voice in decisions that profoundly affect their lives. It is our role, and privilege, to see life through the lens of each child we represent, to advocate zealously for them and bring their stories to the fore.  The hallmark of our practice is our interdisciplinary model of representation, through which our teams of lawyers, social workers and child advocates work together to address the holistic needs of children both in and outside the courtroom setting.
