Malik Thompson is a first-year Master of Social Work student at the University at Buffalo. He previously earned his Bachelor of Arts in Health and Human Services, with a minor in Business, also from UB.
Malik is a proud member of the UB Association of Black Social Workers and serves as the Graduate Advisor for the UB Black Student Union. He has also contributed to the community through his volunteer work with both organizations, and he previously interned with Upstate NY Black & Latino Pride as an Outreach and Coordination Intern. Malik chose to intern with the Legal Aid Bureau of Buffalo to explore the intersection of law and social work, a space where he hopes to build a meaningful career. In his free time, he enjoys painting, cooking, baking, going to the gym, and vlogging.
