Hello everyone! My name is Mahnoor Ahmed (she/her) and I am a rising 2L student at the University at Buffalo School of Law and I will be joining the Legal Aid Bureau of Buffalo this summer as an Appeals and Post-Conviction Unit intern. During my undergraduate career, I learnt how underserved this area of public interest law is and I hope to contribute meaningfully to the Legal Aid mission. At the Law School, I serve on the Women in Law and Allies Association Board and DEI Council where I focus on integrating diversity into our school’s culture; DEI initiatives are particularly important to me as a student of color and first-generation law student. Outside of school and work, I like to crochet, crafting small projects like bags and stuffed animals; I also enjoy baking, and my favorite dessert to bake is tres leches. I look forward to working alongside the amazing attorneys and staff at Legal Aid this summer.
