Hi! I am Lucy Suh, a rising sophomore at Cornell ILR. I was born in Korea but grew up in Guatemala from age 6. (So I am trilingual!) I love playing guitar (from classic guitar to bass). Coming to the United States made me realize how uncultured I am, so please be generous with me if I look completely lost when you talk about football or American tv shows. I decided to do the High Road Program to define what my democratic values are and gain insight into how to turn them into reality even when everyone says that it is too idealistic. At the Legal Aid Bureau, I hope to gain not just professional skills (since this is my first internship experience), but truly gain insight into what it means to work outside the winner-loser framework through work based upon altruism and redefine success outside of wealth or prestige.
