Julie is in her second-to-last semester of the Master of Social Work program at the University of Nevada at Reno and is interning with our HRP CDU Department through December 2025. She holds an Associate Degree in Social Sciences from Jamestown Community College and a BSW with a minor in Criminal Justice from SUNY Fredonia.
Julie brings a wealth of experience through her volunteer work with organizations like the Trevor Project, the HEALing Communities Study launched by NIDA & SAMSHA in collaboration with Columbia University, and the New Jersey National Guard. She is certified in Mental Health First Aid, ASIST, and CPR.
Julie is committed to integrating social work and criminal justice to provide holistic support to those facing complex challenges. Outside of work, she enjoys creating art and music, sewing, community involvement, and spending time with her partner Richard, their two cats, and their rescue pup, Rodger.
