Employment

Many people have barriers to employment due to lack of education, incarceration, trauma and displacement, untreated medical conditions, and/or language and cultural differences. Individuals may need certificates of relief from disabilities or certificates of good conduct and advice as to how to make use of these certificates with prospective employers.

Unemployment Insurance

Separation from one’s employment can be a stressful and traumatic experience, and often workers are unaware of their rights regarding unemployment benefits and often fail to
follow through with the hearing requirements necessary to obtain them. Clients need legal information and representation at a variety of stages, including information regarding whether they have a good case, how to prepare for a hearing, how to subpoena witnesses, and the importance of complying with the strict time requirements for filings and notices to preserve the right to a hearing.

Our office has experienced attorneys who can provide advice and counsel to full representation in unemployment denial hearings.
