How can You Reach us?

Main Office:  (716) 853-9555

Public Defender Unit :  (716) 855-1553

Appointments are made by telephone, except in emergency situations where (1) a person is required to appear before a court or hearing officer in less than three days, or (2) there is a threat of violence.

We cannot give legal advice over the telephone, since we are unable to provide service until we have fully reviewed your problem.

If you are unable to come into the office or telephone, you may write a letter telling us your problem and we will answer it.

Our main offices are located in downtown Buffalo, 237 Main Street, at the corner of Seneca Street, on the 16th floor. The Metro Rail’s Seneca Station is directly in front of the building.

The Public Defender Unit is located on the 4th floor of the Buffalo City Court Building at 50 Delaware Avenue.

We are open Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., except for holidays, when we are closed.
